A Place of Solitude 

A place of solitude is hard to come by these days! There is constant interaction, noise, and people all around – even when we sleep, we keep the tv, radio, or music playing.

Time to Seek A Quiet Place

One of the most important disciplines in your life journey is learning to practice the art of solitude. Retreating to a place of seclusion, isolation, and lack of communication from others.

Just as we physically have had cravings during this cleanse, I pray for spiritual cravings. A craving to draw aside, unplug, and create a place in your life for rest, healing, & wholeness to continue.

Even if it’s just blocks of time carved out of each day. A quiet place always does the soul good.

A Solitary Place

Jesus often withdrew to solitude places and prayed – Luke 5:16. Places described as desolate, deserted, or in the wilderness. A place where He could be alone and commune with His Father.

This is what He is calling us to do today…

This 21 Day Detox is not about changing God’s heart. It’s about changing ours.

Find Your Place of Solitude

For the next and last 6 days of our 21 Day cleanse, we are to find our place of solitude each day. A special place. A place unique to you and God. Just the two of you. Alone.

6 Days… Really God?

I tried to bargain with God almost the entire day while writing this blog post! Tried to get Him down to 3 days. (Imagine that!)

He still said “Kelly, I said 6”.

Then I tried to convince Him… “But God, the women need me!”.

His reply?… “No, they need me”.

So 6 days it is. No more blog posts for the rest of this cleanse.

Just me and Him. Alone.

I look forward with great anticipation to hear what God does in each of your lives.
